Some good news in challenging times

Cornwall Community Land Trust (CCLT) has secured official recognition and will join the big league of established housing associations.

CCLT successfully applied to the Regulator of Social Housing to become a Registered Provider (RP). It has also been approved as an Investment Partner (IP) by Homes England. With this important recognition, we believe that CCLT becomes the first charitable CLT and community benefit society to have achieved both RP and IP status – demonstrating official recognition of our ability to deliver a wide variety of affordable housing projects and to manage a range of social and affordable housing.

This enhanced status will enable CCLT to further help the communities and the people it exists to serve. CCLT was awarded these registrations after 14-months of detailed external scrutiny of its governance, procedural, financial probity and viability as well as of its Board protocol and management standards.

“This has been both a demanding and time-consuming process. We are proud to have achieved these accreditations. It is a credit to the professionalism of our staff and the commitment and talent of our volunteer Board. This news should reinforce the confidence our partners have in us and will help us to help communities and those in housing need” said Andrew George, CCLT’s Chief Executive.
