DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
(18-month temporary contract)
£32,500 p.a. full time
Office (Penzance), home or hybrid work base
Cornwall Community Land Trust (CCLT) is a successful charitable community benefit society, delivering high quality community-led affordable homes across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and providing professional development agency and advisory services. CCLT is a Community-led homes Hub for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly a Registered Provider of Social Housing and an Investment Partner with Homes England.
CCLT has a vacancy for an experienced and versatile Development Officer on an 18 month temporary contract from July this year. We are especially looking for an experienced professional with an excellent track record of housing and property-related development related work, including the delivery of all aspects of housing projects; especially and preferably of community-led housing projects. It would be an advantage for the applicant to have an appropriate housing, surveying or planning related qualification and to have a demonstrable commitment to the ethos of community-led, charitable and affordable homes projects.
Primary responsibilities: to assist a small team of development staff in the delivery of CCLT's affordable homes programme – supporting communities and CCLT colleagues in taking each project, from concept to completion; to secure new opportunities; and to assist in the development of CCLT's project pipeline.
Location: CCLT is based at an office in Penzance, though the post holder will be free to decide whether they would prefer to work primarily from home, as an alternative. For this reason, CCLT is prepared to consider applicants who may not ordinarily be geographically based in Cornwall, but can demonstrate they are able to fulfil responsibilities of the job remotely, and can attend site work and meetings in Cornwall/Scilly when necessary.
