Celebrating another successful year!

Cornwall Community Land Trust will be celebrating another year of success at its AGM on Wednesday 24th June. This is a public event not just for member/shareholders of the charitable community benefit society. It is open for anyone who supports the work of CCLT and its efforts to promote community-led homes and affordable, good quality accommodation for local people across Cornwall and Scilly.

CCLT has secured enhanced status as a social housing provider. It is now a registered provider of social housing and an investment partner with Homes England – the Government’s affordable housing agency.

It will also celebrate its expansion into new work to support co-housing and housing co-ops in Cornwall and on the Isles of Scilly with the appointment of a new member of staff, Pattie Richmond, as Community-led Homes Officer.

This will be CCLT’s first AGM conducted by Zoom. Chief Executive, Andrew George, congratulated his staff and board of volunteers for their efforts during the year which has seen CCLT step up to the higher league of affordable housing providers.

The AGM will also be an opportunity to thank outgoing Chair, Phil Randall, for his six years of successful stewardship of the Board and welcome CCLT‘s new Chair, Matt Ward, who has served as a Board member over the same period. Matt is a highly respected housing and development professional and chartered surveyor who has worked for local authorities and housing associations in Cornwall and is Head of Strategic Development at Plymouth City Council.
